We serve people from many walks of life. Belonging to one of these groups does not guarantee eligibility — we review each request individually, with dignity and care.
We use person-first language and treat every applicant with respect. Eligibility, matching, timing, and availability depend on the foundation's resources and placement process.
Support for First Responders and Public Servants
Paramedics, firefighters, police officers, and other emergency personnel who serve their communities under sustained pressure. A companion dog can offer grounding, comfort, and a steady presence outside of work.
People with Disabilities or Special Needs
Individuals whose daily lives may be enriched by a canine companion. We review each situation individually and never assume eligibility based on diagnosis alone.
Children in Foster Care
Young people navigating transitions who may benefit from the stability and unconditional companionship of a dog. We protect the privacy of minors and foster youth and never publish identifying information without all legally required permissions.
People Experiencing Hardship or Isolation
Individuals facing grief, loneliness, or other circumstances where a companion animal could improve their quality of life. Each request is reviewed with care and without judgment.
